The Lincoln Stars announced today that they have acquired forward Nick Nardecchia from the Tri-City Storm in exchange for a 2021 Phase II 8th Round pick.
Nardecchia, 19, made his USHL debut with the Stars last season as a replacement player on December 6th, 2019 in Waterloo against the Black Hawks. The following night, the Macomb, MI native scored his first USHL goal in Lincoln's 5-3 victory on the road. The Ferris State University commit appeared in two more regular-season games for Tri-City before the 2019-20 campaign was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Nardecchia was brought back for a second tenure with the Storm after Tri-City selected him with the 114th overall pick in the 2020 USHL Phase II Draft.
He registered one goal in four preseason games in 2020, scoring against the Stars on October 31st. In the same game, Nardecchia fought Lincoln forward Noah Laba, leading to a three-game suspension.
Nardecchia is eligible to make his 2020-21 debut the next time the Stars hit the ice: a road matchup against the Black Hawks on November 25th.
