If we have learned anything about this crazy virus, it’s to expect the unexpected and prepare for everything, including social distancing at games, wearing masks indoors for the foreseeable future and, as the NHL calls it, “playing hockey in the bubble.” WOW! Crazy times! Who could have imagined this?
The USHL recently announced the league has full intention to play as scheduled in 2020-21 but no certain idea what that looks like in real-time.
In anticipation of possible socially distanced seating and mask restrictions remaining through the beginning of the season, we have created a FUN and UNIQUE opportunity for Stars fans to “block” restricted seats with a 12” x 18” foam cut out of themselves. It can be a photo of yourself, your dog, whatever! These cutouts will certainly be a unique piece of memorabilia for future days when COVID is in the past (maybe get the team to sign them when this is all behind us?), but most of all an opportunity to try and have some FUN during this most unimaginable situation.
Can you imagine how funny the arena will look if we have half fans and half cutouts? The Lincoln Stars would be the talk of hockey (let’s get on SPORTSCENTER/NHL Network!). The 12” x 18” foam cutouts are available for $20. Fill out your information at lincolnstars.com/fancutouts and you will be contacted by a Stars representative for a photo as well as payment.
The availability of open seats at the Ice Box is currently limited to 50 percent capacity and is subject to change but the FUN is not, so if you are interested, please do act quickly because once the seats are claimed, the promotion will be over. Images submitted are subject to the Stars approval and should be above 2MB.
