VETERAN USHL FORWARD EXPECTED TO JOIN STARS LATER THIS WEEKEND

The Lincoln Stars announced today that they have acquired forward Blais Richartz from the Omaha Lancers in exchange for forward Ross Mitton.

Richartz, 19, has registered 20 goals and 29 assists in 137 regular-season games in the USHL, splitting his time between the Lancers and the Tri-City Storm over the past four seasons. This season, the Menomonie, WI native has two assists in nine games while playing for Omaha.

In 38 games last year, the Michigan Tech commit matched his USHL career-high in points with 17 (5G, 12A). Richartz will wear No. 27 in Lincoln and is expected to join the team this weekend.

Mitton played 29 games as a member of the Stars, scoring three goals and adding six assists. The Stars acquired the Copiague, NY native in January last season from the Fargo Force.
