Lincoln, NE (August 25, 2014) - The Lincoln Stars Hockey Club is pleased to announce two pre-season games being held at the Ice Box.
The first of the two games will be Friday, September 12th at 7:05PM versus the Tri-City Storm. The Stars are partnering with the People’s City Mission to collect monetary donations at the door. Donations are suggested but not required to gain access to the game. Season ticket holders and Blue Line Booster members are exclusively invited to meet the players and tour the locker room from 4-6PM. Colby Ridge will also hand out a limited number of bags of their new Kettle Corn to season ticket holders. General admission begins at 6PM.
“We are excited to showcase to Stars Nation all of the improvements that we have been working on during summer,” says Stars’ General Manager, Jon Hull.
The second pre-season game will be Tuesday, September 16th at 7:05PM versus the Sioux City Musketeers. Donations will be collected for the Klein family. The Klein’s have been a host family for the Stars family for the past 14 years. In the past year, both host parents have both undergone major medical events. Checks can be made payable to Jim or Jen Klein. Doors will open at 6PM. “The Lincoln Stars encompasses more than players and fans but we also want to reach more demographics throughout the community. Giving back to organizations and families in need is embedded in our culture,” said Hull. Entry for both exhibition games is general admission and seating will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
