Sdao Selected in NHL Entry Draft
Stars defenseman Michael Sdao was selected in the 7th round of the NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators. Sdao is headed to Princeton University this fall to begin his collegiate hockey career. "We're extremely proud of Michael and the improvement he's shown during his time in Lincoln. It's a testament to his work ethic and passion for the game of hockey. His best hockey is ahead of him, and it'll be exciting to watch his development in the Senators organization," said Head Coach Jimmy McGroarty. |
Season Ticket Renewals
Lincoln Stars season ticket holders will be receiving information on renewal of their tickets starting next week. The deadlines for renewals are Tuesday, June 30th for all installment plan payments and Fri, July 31st for payment in full. If you do not receive your information by Mon, June 22nd, please contact the ticket office at 402-474-7827 ext. 14. |
Hastings to UNO; Potulny Promoted
Former Omaha Lancer Head Coach Mike Hastings will return to Omaha as an assistant coach to Dean Blais at the University of Nebraska at Omaha ( see full story). |
Former Stars Coach Named Force Head Coach/GM
Former Lincoln Stars Head Coach Steve Johnson was named Head Coach and General Manager of the USHL's Fargo Force. Johnson replaces Dean Blais who recently announced that he was resigning to become the Head Coach of the UNO Mavericks. ( See full story here). |
Stars Tryout Camp
The Lincoln Stars tryout camp concluded today with an all-star game that featured veterans Cory Hibbeler, John McCarron, and David Gerths
playing for the Black team, and Matt Bruneteau, Taylor Kuypers, and Garrett Peterson playing for the Red team. The Black team defeated the Red team 5-2. (more)
